They didn't know
What it meant
To bleed of wounds
Yet they wanted it
While screaming of ashes
Of love, of heart, of dreams
They couldn't comprehend
Nor acted of defiance
For they barrened living souls
And put ablazed a thousand flowers
The deadly rituals seeked of tides
While the sinking one remained aloof
And they say stories of it's strength Put forth the mighty of it's being Cheerish the presence of it Bewildered with love of it Silently, lying still, it griefs itself Hover around the city panicked For once it was chased By the bullets of glorious rebels
